Signs of wear
Short runtime, sudden shutdowns and unstable charge percentage indicate battery wear.
Swelling is dangerous
A raised touchpad or opening case may indicate swelling. Turn the device off and do not press the case.
Choose a compatible part
The model code, voltage, connector and control electronics must match.
Battery wear or a charging limit?
Shorter runtime does not always mean battery failure: a bright screen and demanding applications use more power. Some models limit charging through battery-care settings. Compare runtime under similar conditions and check the manufacturer’s battery health information. If the case is deformed, do not perform these checks or continue charging the battery.
