Start with your data
If the Mac works, make a verified copy of important files. Specify what must be preserved and do not assume every repair includes copying. If it will not start, explain whether another copy of your data exists.
Match security steps to the repair
Find My and Activation Lock can affect certain repair or recovery operations. Ask what the specific service requires. Do not disable protection merely because of generic online advice; perform account actions yourself using Apple's official process.
A password is not always required
Some checks need only hardware diagnostics; others require signing in to reproduce the symptom. Agree on a safe testing method. Do not include passwords in a public repair description or send them through unverified channels.
What to provide
Supply the model, exact symptom and relevant accessory when charging or a dock is involved. Disclose previous repairs and liquid exposure. Agree which actions require additional consent, especially system erasure or replacement.
Need help?
Describe the symptoms and share the model. We agree on the work and price before repair.
