Charger, cable and external power adapter repair
When should you have it checked?
Intermittent power, cable damage, a failed indicator or unusual heat may indicate a charger fault. A faulty battery or laptop charging port can cause similar symptoms, so we identify the cause first.
What can be repaired?
We inspect the mains cable, output cable, connector, enclosure and adapter circuit board. Depending on the fault, repair may involve replacing a cable or plug, restoring contacts or repairing power supply electronics. Feasibility depends on construction, damage and parts availability.
ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo and other brands
We accept ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Acer, MSI and other laptop chargers. We check the model, power rating, output specifications and connector. For USB-C, we also assess the cable and charging modes required by the laptop. A matching plug alone does not guarantee compatibility.
How does repair work?
We inspect the charger and agree the price before starting. After repairing the fault, we check the output and operation under load. If you bring your laptop, we can also check adapter recognition and stable charging.
When is replacement a better option?
Some adapters cannot be safely or economically repaired. If the enclosure is badly damaged or reliable operation cannot be restored, we explain the reason and discuss a compatible replacement. Replacement pricing is agreed separately.
What should you bring?
Bring the adapter, all its cables and, if possible, your laptop. This helps distinguish charger problems from battery or charging port faults. Stop using an adapter with exposed wires, a burning smell or a deformed enclosure.
Frequently asked questions
How much does repair cost?
€20–50. We agree the exact price after inspection and before starting the repair.
How long does it take?
Usually within 2 hours when the required parts are available. Ordered components or a more complex fault may require a different timeframe, which we agree with you.
Do you repair USB-C chargers?
We check both the charger and cable. Repair feasibility depends on the model and fault; replacing the cable or adapter may be a better option.
Should I bring my laptop?
We recommend bringing the laptop and all charger cables so we can check the complete charging path.
Is this laptop charging port repair?
No. This service covers the external charger. Laptop charging port, battery and motherboard repairs are separate services.
Can every adapter be repaired?
Not always. We assess safe operation, construction, parts availability and repair value. If repair is unsuitable, we discuss replacement.
