Charging port repair
- This service covers MacBook Air and Pro charging ports. We assess USB-C and MagSafe connectors for the specific model. Construction and mounting vary, so we identify the model and damage first.
- Symptoms include intermittent charging, a loose plug, only one working charging port or visibly damaged contacts. Do not force or bend the plug to maintain contact. Disconnect power if the connector becomes unusually hot or has liquid damage.
- Failure to charge does not always mean a port fault. We check a compatible adapter, cable, port condition and battery response. A battery or logic board charging circuit fault requires a different repair.
- After inspection, we discuss cleaning, contact repair, soldering or replacement of the port module as appropriate. Replacing the port does not fix every charging problem. Additional board work requires a separate agreement.
- USB-C can serve other functions supported by the model. We check whether the problem affects charging alone or accessory connections too. For MagSafe, we assess the cable and contacts; the indicator alone does not identify the fault.
- Labour costs €60–140 and the estimated turnaround is 1–3 days. Parts are charged separately. Disassembly, soldering, contact damage and model construction affect the final estimate.
- After repair, we check stable charging with a suitable adapter, connector security and related functions. Additional USB-C functions are checked according to the model. Completed work carries a 6-month warranty.
- Visit Savanorių pr. 40, Vilnius without an appointment. Bring your adapter and cable and describe the fault. This is not external charger repair. We do not erase files by default.
