Noise does not always mean failure
We check dust, workload, bearing noise, fan speed and temperatures. If cleaning is sufficient, we explain that option.
Is your laptop noisy, running hot or making a rattling sound? We identify the cause, select a compatible fan and restore effective cooling. We agree the scope and total cost before starting work.

€20–40 covers fan replacement labour only. If cooling removal and replacement of thermal paste or phase-change material and the thermal pads used are required, this additional service costs €40. Total labour is then €60–80. Fans or the cooling module are charged separately.
The table shows preliminary part and fan replacement labour totals, excluding additional cooling maintenance. Add €40 where thermal material replacement is required. One fan unless a pair is specified. The exact model, part, delivery and final total are agreed before repair.

Rattling, vibration, blades touching the housing or a fan that will not spin may indicate mechanical failure. Loud operation during gaming alone does not prove a fault. We also check dust, airflow, software workload and fan control.
ASUS ROG / TUF, Lenovo Legion / LOQ, Dell G / Alienware, HP Omen / Victus, Acer Nitro / Predator and MSI may use separate CPU and GPU fans or a combined cooling module. We replace the faulty part; replacing both fans is not automatically necessary. Some original parts are supplied only with a heatsink.
If the fan can be replaced without removing the heatsink, labour costs €20–40. When cooling removal is necessary, we remove old paste and apply suitable new thermal paste or phase-change material. This additional cooling service costs €40; total labour is €60–80.
Replacement of thermal pads used in the removed cooling assembly with the correct thickness and properties is included in the additional €40 cooling service. PCM does not replace thick gap-filling pads, and paste does not replace a required pad. Factory liquid metal and thermal putty designs are assessed individually before work.
Send the full model code from the bottom cover and describe the symptoms. Dell Service Tag, HP Product Number or Lenovo MTM can help identify the configuration. Different generations within a series may use different fans. We provide a complete estimate after identifying the part.
Timing depends on part availability and disassembly. Delivery time for ordered parts is additional. Fan replacement does not require reinstalling Windows or deleting files. We recommend a backup of important data before any repair.
Supplier examples checked on 8 September 2026: HP M50402-001 €55, Lenovo Legion 82RF cooling module €74, Legion 82WQ €136. Supplier prices include their local VAT but exclude delivery; they are not our final quote. Table ranges are our preliminary budget estimates.

Yes, if the design permits and the other fan works correctly. CPU and GPU fans may differ.
Yes, if dust is the cause. Cleaning cannot restore worn bearings or broken blades.
No. We select material for the design; PCM does not replace all pads or factory liquid metal.

Yes, subject to compatibility checks. Send the laptop and part codes before buying.
Not necessarily. Design, connector, voltage, mounting and part number must match.
We confirm part availability and the specific repair individually.
Completed work has a 6-month warranty. Part warranty terms are stated separately.
