What to know before repair
Disk cloning
- Cloning transfers drive structure and data. It may preserve your operating system, installed programs and settings; we confirm feasibility after inspection.
- Data on the destination drive may be overwritten. We check its contents and obtain consent before starting. We recommend a separate backup of important files.
- We check capacity, drive condition and system boot requirements. Migration to a smaller drive is assessed individually based on used space and partitions.
- If a drive freezes, is not detected or has read errors, ordinary cloning may be unsuitable. We assess whether data recovery is needed first; success is not guaranteed.
- An encrypted drive may require an unlock or recovery key. We do not bypass passwords. Do not submit keys through the public contact form; we agree a separate transfer method.
- Cloning does not itself fix system errors or remove malware. If the problem would migrate with the system, we can propose a separately agreed clean installation.
- We check startup and selected files after migration. We do not erase the old drive without separate consent.

Will Windows and my programs be preserved?
If the system and drives are suitable, we migrate the system, programs and settings. Some programs may require reactivation.
How is cloning different from copying files?
File copying transfers selected files. Cloning also aims to transfer the drive structure and system.
Can an HDD be cloned to an SSD?
Often yes. We check compatibility, condition, capacity and system boot requirements.
Can I clone to a smaller drive?
Sometimes, if the used data fits and partitions can be transferred correctly. We confirm after inspection.
How long does cloning take?

What should I bring?
Your computer, old drive and new drive if you already have one. If an encryption key is needed, we arrange a separate way to provide it.
Will existing files on the new drive survive?
